These days I have been particularly drawn towards sportier watches. And if sporty is blended with a dash of anything related to airplanes, you’ve got my undying attention. The brand new Breitling – Chronomat 44 Raven is my current crush, especially with its ultra-sporty orange details. This impressive timepiece is powered by a Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01. It is no secret that I am an aviation geek, which explains why I am partial towards Breitling’s watches. The Breitling – Chronomat 44 Raven is an aesthetic reinterpretation of a pilot’s chronograph, with a modern twist. At the heart of its design, there is a strong ‘professional’ context attached – think precision, sturdiness, readability, functionality and, of course, water resistance.
The case has a smooth brushed steel finish, making it ultra-masculine and the entire piece is clad in a black carbon-based coating. The rotating bezel has orange numerals, making for an interesting contrast. The orange details are replicated on the inner bezel, the chronograph seconds hands and the counter pointers. The Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01 is visible through a transparent back. Once again, visible orange details can be seen in the entrails of the watch. The watch is powered with a selfwinding movement COSC certified chronometer.
It doesn’t get any more stylish than this now, does it?
