Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has just released first images of its brand new cabin product in First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. The new inflight products will be showcased on their Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft as well as their Airbus A380 aircraft, both of which, are scheduled to join their fleet in the near future.
Giving its Middle Eastern airline counterparts – Dubai-based Emirates Airlines and Doha-based Qatar Airways – a run for their money, Etihad Airways First Class and Business Class seats are designed to showcase luxury in its purest form. After all, Etihad Airways First Class and Business Class passengers are a well-heeled and extremely discerning lot, who expect only the best.
So Etihad Airways dares to go beyond the regular First Class offering — interestingly enough, in an aviation market where ultra-premium cabins are becoming increasingly obsolete and irrelevant — and announces an ultra-luxe product called ‘The Residence’, which is a three-room private cabin, with a personal butler on board. The Residence has a living room with Poltrona Frau leather sofas, a bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom.
Following that, there is a First Class Apartment, which is a self-contained suite in the skies, pretty similar to the First Class suites offered by many other airlines. Poltrona Frau leather seats, an 81-inch long bed, a 24-inch screen, a wardrobe, a vanity case and access to the inflight shower, reserved only for First Class passengers.
Business Class has been repositioned as a ‘Business Class Studio’, which stands out with its refined design and clean lines, featuring a seat that turns into an 80-inch flat bed, an 18-inch flat screen, special bed linen and complementary sleeper suits.
Here are some of the first pictures of Etihad Airways First Class and Business Class. More details on inflight product and facilities to follow. Watch this space. Luxury travel has never been more exciting!
