A Pocket Square Paradise

I’m always scouting around for new designers and brands to feature on UrbanEye.in, in an attempt to make my brothers’ wardrobes more modern, more presentable and, of course, more noticeable.

Here’s another one of my latest discoveries, and I couldn’t be happier. Lacquer Embassy by Delhi-based designer Nikhil Sharma has just launched with a brilliant collection of pocket squares and shirts. Here’s the thing, what appeals to me most in Lacquer Embassy’s offerings is the fact that they are WEARABLE and CHIC, without being over-the-top-ly dandy. Minimalism seems to be the key word in Sharma’s style. And I am certain that Indian guys will rave! As the brand launches its first collection this month, I checked out their capsule collection of shirts and pocket squares that, in the designer’s words, “embody the sartorial style of a global gentleman”. I will probably discuss the shirts later, as I am still reeling under the effect of my Bombay Shirt Company experience. But here’s a look at their pocket squares.

Love the bright colours on the Laneway square. The multi-coloured effect would look amazing on my classic bandhgala, adding a touch of fun to a classic evening look!

The Chalet square is a classic. Not much quirk or experimentation there! I probably wouldn't opt for something like this, because the pocket square is my 'tiny' chance to go all out and experiment! This is far too conventional, but elegant nonetheless!

I just LOVE this one! It's got to be one of my favourites. SO MANY different ways of wearing this one. Let the yellow and black pop out of your pocket or the blue and black. The effect would be great!

The Deckhouse Square is MY favourite from the collection. Probably because it’s in my favourite colour combo – blue and white. I can think of a hundred ways of pairing this. I am particularly fond of the preppie/marine chic allure of this particular square!
A hint of British sartorial style, flowin in straight from Savile Row, is always welcome.

If this pocket square was larger, I'd probably use it as a scarf. Love the black and white motifs of the British high life: the dog, the spectacles, the hat and more...

I’m thoroughly impressed I have to say! Lacquer Embassy hasn’t officially declared their price points just yet, I can’t wait to see what they’re going to cost. I’ve already selected a few things that I’d like to add to my accessories closet.

In the meanwhile, you can check out this elegant new brand here lacquerembassy.com
