While I am all for following latest trends in fashion and pushing the limits of modern trends, every once in a while, it is good to look back at the evolution of fashion, take stock and perhaps revisit old trends. After all, that is what retro fashion is all about!
I was in Paris recently to shoot a bunch of street style videos and series with Celio India. Over the course of the next few weeks, I will be sharing various looks and trends from my Paris Street Style series with Celio India, but I’d like to start with my retro look.
I spent the day by the Eiffel Tower and here’s what I decided to sport. A ‘70s style fitted checked shirt, with a nice faded finish. I paired with some nifty light-washed denims and completed the look with a pair of brown suede chukka boots. However, since it is 2017, I thought it would be nice to add one modern touch to my look. I threw on a light navy jacket for that utilitarian, urban element.
Here’s how the look panned out….
Also, all of you guys on social media were asking me about that epic cinemagraph of me hanging in the air, in front of the Eiffel Tower… here it is again!
However, the most interesting part of my street style episodes in Paris is yet to come…. There is a small video coming up, of me cruising down the River Seine, and experiencing Paris from a boat. Fashion meets travel in a never-before-seen perspective of the French capital. I will be sharing that video very soon so watch this space.
As for the retro look, if you have something retro in your wardrobe, I’d love to hear from you. So please leave me your comments and share some photos with me.
