Six Summer Cocktails To Try Your Hand At.

As most of you Mumbaikars know, despite the scorching heat these past few months, we’ve experienced May Showers over the weekend. Honestly, I’m not too sad to see summer leave us early, but before that, we at Urban Eye have put together a few cocktail recipes from a few of our favourite bars across Mumbai so that those last few summer parties you’ve got on your schedule, will definitely be memorable. Or should I say immemorable? You can enjoy these refreshing drinks right at home! Not to mention show off your bartending skills.

Thai Maalish (Social)

What you require:

  • Gin- 60 ml
  • Basil leaves- 2 Leaves
  • Kaffir lime- 4 chunks
  • Galangal-4 chunks
  • Lemon grass- 4 chunks
  • Fresh coconut water- 150ml
  • Sugar Syrup- 10ml
  • Fresh Lime Juice-10 ml

Method :

  • Muddle basil leaves, kaffir lime, galangal, lemon grass along with sugar syrup and lime juice in the shaker
  • Add gin and coconut water in the shaker over ice
  • Shake the drink and double strain before serving

 

Tadi Colada (Social)

What you require:

  • Fresh palm wine- 260ml
  • White rum- 30ml
  • Malibu- 30ml

Method :

  • Shake all the ingredients over ice in a shaker and serve in a recycled beer bottle

 

Cucumber “G” Fizz (Smoke House Deli, Bandra)

What you require:

  • Organic Cucumber 80 gm
  • Sour Mix 15 ml
  • Gin 60 ml
  • Soda 100 ml

Method:

  • Muddle fresh cucumber and pour the juice along with sour mix and gin in double strainer
  • Shake well and pour it in a glass
  • Top it up with ice cold sparkling water and serve

 

Smokey Style Watermelon Fizz (Smoke House Deli, Bandra)

What you need:

  • Fresh Watermelon 80 gm
  • Kaffir Lime Leaf 4 nos
  • Vodka 60 ml
  • Watermelon Juice 40 ml

Method:

  • Muddle fresh watermelon and kaffir lime leaf and mix it with crushed ice and vodka
  • Pour cold watermelon juice over it and serve in a glass of your choice

 

Elder flower fizz (Masala Library, BKC )

What you Need:

  • Gin
  • Elder Flower Syrup
  • Lime Juice
  • Mint Leaves
  • Cucumber Slices

Method:

  • Shake ingredients and serve. Garnish with Cucumber Slices.

 

Clovers club (Masala Library, BKC) 

What you require:

  • Raspberry Puree
  • Lime Juice
  • Egg White
  • Gin

Method:

  • Shake ingredients and serve in a coupe glass. Garnish with edible Flower.

 

U-ISUKI-SHO (PA PA YA, Colaba)

What you need:

  • Bourbon
  • Kaffir lime perfume
  • Frozen watermelon
  • Vanilla Air

Method:

  • Shake ingredients and serve chilled.

 

Bito none chado (PA PA YA, Colaba)

What you need:

  • Vodka
  • Beetroot syrup
  • Lemon ginger tea
  • Orange Liqeur

Method:

  • Shake and serve chilled.
