People always ask to comment on monsoon fashion. While it may be a bit tricky, there are just a few things to keep in mind — you need to be comfortable (by that I mean soft, easy-to-wear fabrics), safe (footwear that prevents you from slipping) and, most importantly, stylish. For many, the monsoon spells an end to style — one is expected to pull out old, dowdy, unflattering clothes, which only make you look sloppy and unsightly. My school of thought is at the extreme opposite. I believe that there are ways to make monsoon fashion, well, truly fashionable. ?This season, I’ve got one basic silhouette in place and it seems to be working for me. And it looks like I am going to be sporting this basic silhouette all through the season. Here goes. It’s as simple as a shirt and jeans…but with a few small touches.
Then, I paired it with a very smart, casual cotton slim-fit shirt, also from Lee’s current collection, featuring a micro-gingham check pattern. As I always love to do, I rolled up my sleeves to show off my forearms and get more comfortable.
