What I Wore: GQ Best Dressed Party

GQ Best Dressed Party is an event that I thoroughly look forward to. Firstly, there aren’t many events in the country that showcase and felicitate men for being truly stylish. So when one does come by, it’s time to rejoice. And secondly, it’s just another excuse to get dressed up, go out and have a good time.
The GQ Best Dressed party took place at the Four Seasons Mumbai last weekend and, as expected, it was a night of fun, glamour, friends, dapper gents and lots of Grey Goose cocktails. Before I tell you what all the stars wore, let me decode my own look for you…

Let me start earlier on in the evening when I stepped into Sachin Kadam’s new salon Sachin’s Head Office in Bandra, where he suggested that I do a sharp and slick side parting, which would go well with my suit and bow-tie look.
Loving my new hair. Thanks Sachin.

Once home, I checked out my new stash of accessories from The Bro Code, one of Mumbai’s coolest men’s accessories brands.

That morning, I sent out a question to all my readers on social media, asking me to help choose between the electric blue bow-tie and the darker one. By public demand, I chose the electric blue one, which went perfectly with my blue suit. I did, however, choose the darker pocket square over the ligther one.

The best option for this suit was a white shirt. So I chose a classic button-down by T.M. Lewin, which happens to make some of best fitting shirts in the market right now, in my opinion.

Finally, no ensemble would be complete without the right watch.

On my wrist, that evening, was a Frederique Constant masterpiece.

Frederique Constant’s Manufacture Worldtimer is absolutely stunning, with an engraved dial, guilloche embellishments, a world timer and an alligator strap.
A splash of Giorgio Armani’s newly launched Acqua di Gio Profumo and I was ready for the evening.
That’s the final look. What do you think, guys? It’s so vintage chic! With my hair slicked down, and the elegance of the bow-tie, I was in a happy space.

We spotted a lot of well-dressed men at the party. You’ll just have to stay tuned and watch this space for more…
