My Weekend At Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Karjat

Last year, when we attended the grand opening of the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Karjat, we were stoked to discover a brand new luxury getaway a few hours outside Mumbai. And we were happy to go back, one more time, one year later.
Recently, I got invited to the Radisson Blu Karjat for the launch of their lounge bar, Blu Lounge. And oh, what an amazing weekend it was!
After about a 3 and a half hour journey by car, I was ready for a fun and relaxing day nestled in the wilderness that surrounds this gorgeous property. After checking into this stunning hotel that is designed with Thai and Balinese architecture, I was led to room. A king size bed in my room, with a balcony overlooking the ever inviting Olympic size swimming pool, I loved this place already. I was dying to plunge into the pool. Instead, I freshened up and headed downstairs for the Masterclass before lunch.

The Masterclass was hosted by resident Chef Madhusudan. The whole point of this Masterclass was to show us how to choose healthier options for our salads AND we also made fruity pani puri. How does that sound to you? Green Apple, Pineapple and Kokum, were the three flavours we tried. MY pick – Green Apple Pani puri.
We proceeded to lunch thereafter at their all day dining restaurant (what is the name of this restaurant that features an array of cuisines to pick from.(take a look at the delicious menu below)

I tried the Yakhani Shorba with Khasta Roti, the Classic Kachumber Salad and the Phaldari Kofta.

I always look forward to the dessert, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed!

After lunch, I was shown around the gorgeous hotel. My favourite part about this hotel is their Remedi Spa.
One can enjoy a variety of treatments like Swedish, deep tissue, aroma, ayurvedic massage, etc. during your stay.

Evening tea was served while we watched the sunset by the pool. It was super relaxing! AND I finally got into the pool for a short workout before the big dinner party.

7:30 on the dot, Grover Zampa wines, hosted a wine tasting session.

For those of you who know me well, I seldom drink, but when I do, it has to be a good glass of wine. At dinner, I was introduced to the owner’s son Suhasish Chakraborty who graced us with his presence after a long flight from Berlin. As expected, dinner was delicious. Soup, Salad, Fish steak, Chicken fillet, and a chocolate lava cake to top it off, I was stuffed, but definitely ready to party. Suhasish declared the Blu Lounge open, and we had a blast that night. He even made all of us drinks, while we enjoyed a few games of pool and moved to the easy beats of their in house DJ. The Blu Lounge’s plush interiors are adorned in black and mahogany brown along with evincing blue light effects that accentuate the elevated deck area. It spans 700 Sq. Ft and has a capacity to seat and serve about 80 guests, and can accommodate close to about 100 guests for private soirées.

The next day, I rose early to head back to Mumbai, but not before a satisfying buffet breakfast. What I loved about this hotel is that, even though its so far away from everything else, it has such a good feel to it, and the rooms are beautiful. For families who plan to visit this hotel, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s only a short drive from tourist attractions like Kondana Caves and Imagica Theme Park.
The Radisson Blu Karjat, is a lovely place for a weekend getaway, and so super relaxing. Cant wait to go back!
