Hey Guys, We at UrbanEye.in are always scouting for stylish men, who wear their confidence on their sleeve and share our passion for the finer things of life– shoes, clothes, watches, accessories and good food.
Our ongoing series #Whatsonyourfeet received an overwhelming response for Parts 1 and 2. Our style guru Simon Cudd, from the UK, international Brand Ambassador for Bell & Ross watches opens up his shoe closet to us and we discover more of his favourite pairs.
Here’s Part 3 of our series #Whatsonyourfeet. Hope you enjoy it.
If you haven’t caught the first two parts, here they are —
What’s on my feet: My leather Converse shoes that I picked up for a bargain! Why: I loved the colour and have always been a huge fan of Converse! Riaan’s View: I personally feel that I’ve grown out of the classic canvas Converses, but this leather pair is an interesting, more sophisticated take on the shoe! I love how the red stands out so well against the striped socks and blue denim! A winner!
What’s on my feet: Bright orange Pumas. Why: They must be 8/9 years old. I owned the black version too but I think I’ve misplaced them. I bought them purely because I loved the colour. Riaan’s View: Love the colour too! Would suit a guy who likes a touch of quirk in his look. The orange does stand out so if you are indeed planning on wearing one of these, make sure you tone down the rest of your look.
What’s on my feet: Camper Majorca suede shoes. Why: Camper is one of my favourite brands. They have the most comfortable shoes. The unusual shape and colour of the sole drew me to the shoe. Riaan’s view: Love love love! I own desert boots in the very same colour and suede. Would love to own a pair of shoes in this shape. In my opinion, nothing looks better on jeans than suede shoes…
What’s on my feet: Camo trainers by Gourmet NFN Why: What can I say? I LOVE camo and I had to have these! Riaan’s view: A more toned down version of the usual bright camo we see around, this pair of shoes is subtle enough but still makes a statement. I would totally wear a pair with beige cargos or cotton chinos.
What’s on my feet: Good old fashioned sneakers from Vans in black suede Why: I love the skater boy look…and they are oh-so-comfy! Riaan’s view: Every boy must own a pair of classic sneakers like this. Slip into them for any event, well almost any event, and you’re good to go. The suede versions could also be used as a classier alternative to canvas sneakers.
What’s on my feet: Brown leather brogues from Stemar, one of Italy’s finest handmade shoe brands. Why: Do I need to say why? Riaan’s view: I have a love hate relationship with brogues, no matter how expensive and fancy they may be! I sometimes find them to be too heavy while there are times that I just love them! Not always easy to pair them without looking overdone! I’d say a nice pair of formal trousers?
What’s on my feet: Paul Smith Harris Tweed trainers Why: This pair is truly, truly unique. Riaan’s view: This has got to be my favourite pair from today’s series. I just LOVE the texture of the tweed. In itself, this pair can be statement footwear, to be paired with something ultra simple, so that everyone’s attention goes right to your feet. Think white pants?
What’s on my feet: Timberland deck shoes. Why: This may be the strangest looking shoes I own. I find them quite cool though. Riaan’s view: I’ve been a fan of the new offerings from Timberland and I’ve even done a post on their new boat shoes. But I find this particular model to be quite odd looking, not too sure if I’d wear it. Looks rather alien-ish to me!
What’s on my feet: A pair of sneakers by ‘Tom’ by J Shoes Why: Interesting colour. Can’t go wrong with the shape. Riaan’s view: Doesn’t strike me as extraordinary.
